Payment plans

Please contact our rating team to negotiate a formal payment plan agreement.

Agreements will usually be in the form of a regular payment plan (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) designed to have your rates and/or water account paid up to date over a maximum term of 12 months.

Interest charges will still apply unless the circumstance qualifies for a reduction or exemption under separate Council policy or Management Administrative Guidelines.

Council may agree to short term temporary agreements up to a 6 month term where the payment level would never catch up arrears and current rates and charges for ratepayers experiencing short term financial difficulties.

For ratepayers experiencing extreme financial hardship, application may be made for financial assistance under our Rates & Charges Financial Hardship Assistance Policy.
