Pay online using the BPoint portal. You will need your Rates reference number. Please allow two business days for payment to be updated.

Provided you have sufficient funds, the payment will be processed and you will be issued a receipt number from your bank.

This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
It cost the same as a local call. Mobile phones are charged at mobile phone rates.
You can mail your cheque or money order payable to Byron Shire Council, together with the detachable deposit slip portion of the rate notice, to:
Pay by cash, cheque, debit or credit card at the Customer Service Centre, 70 Station Street, Mullumbimby.
Please bring your rate notice with you.
Office hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 4 pm.

You cannot pay by credit card at Australia Post.
To pay in full for the 2021 to 2022 financial year, payment is due on or before 31 August.
To pay by instalments, the due dates for quarterly payments are:
We will send you an instalment notice one month before the payment is due.
If your quarterly payment is not paid in full by the due date interest will accrue on the outstanding amount.
From 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022 interest is charged at 6% per annum calculated daily.
To avoid paying interest charges, please ensure your payment reaches us by the due date on your notice. If you are paying by mail, you should make allowances for postage time.
