The upgrade of a 390m section Bayshore Drive in the Byron Arts and Industry Estate stretches from the roundabout at the intersection of Centennial Circuit and Grevillia Street to just past the intersection of Centennial Circuit near the IGA.

Work includes

  • Renewal of the existing road
  • Improvements to parking including angle and parallel parking.
  • Stormwater infrastructure
  • New bus stop.

Traffic changes and potential delays

There will be disruptions and delays for businesses, residents and visitors.

  • Bayshore Drive will remain open for the duration of the project.
  • Temporary changes to traffic flow in nearby streets including Grevillea Street, Banksia Drive and Brigantine Street may happen at different times.
  • At times traffic will be reduced to one lane with detours either via Centennial Circuit, Grevillea Street and Banksia Drive.  
  • When possible, road work will be staggered to take into account busy peak times.
  • Some work will be done at night to reduce impact on businesses in Bayshore Drive.
