Community Strategic Plan

The Byron Shire Community Strategic Plan 2035 has been developed following in-depth community engagement to understand the community's collective vision, aspirations, and priorities.

The Community Strategic Plan Guides our activities over the next ten years as we work toward achieving the vision:

Byron Shire is a 'meeting place' where people can come together to connect, share, grow, inspire, and create positive change.

The implementation of the Community Strategic Plan is supported by Council's Delivery Program and Operational Plan.

How does Council develop its Community Strategic Plan?

We are required to review our Community Strategic Plan following Local Government Elections - generally every four years. 

We seek feedback from the community to understand their priorities and aspirations for Byron Shire. 

The Engagement Outcomes Report helped to inform the current 2035 Community Strategic Plan.
