Lot 12 Bayshore Drive – Roundabout Construction

Announcement

Bayshore Drive has reopened to two-way traffic for light vehicles.

Heavy vehicles accessing Byron Bay Fair will need to enter / exit via Sunrise Boulevard until the project is completed due to a temporarily restricted turning circle at the roundabout.

Please drive carefully and slowly through the new roundabout as this is still an active work site.

  • Project scheduleDecember 2024 to March 2026

Council is building a new roundabout on Bayshore Drive, at the intersection of the access road to TAFE and the IGA shopping centre.

This project is part of the development of a 5.8-hectare Council-owned block of land known as Lot 12 Bayshore Drive.

What's being done:

  • New roundabout
  • Foot paths and replacement of existing foot paths
  • Garden beds
  • Replacing broken kerbs and gutters
  • Lighting
  • Water and sewer infrastructure for new development.
