Lot 12 Bayshore Drive

We are partnering with organisations to develop Lot 12 Bayshore Drive, Byron Bay into a mixed-use precinct with innovation and creativity at the core of business and development.

NSW Government Roads and Infrastructure Election Commitment

In February 2020, the NSW Government announced $25 million for projects to improve the road network and support towns impacted by tourism.

Northern Rivers Rail Trail - Byron Shire

The Northern Rivers Rail Trail stretches across four Local Government Areas.

We are moving forward with planning and approvals for the rail trail from Mullumbimby to Crabbes Creek, and the old Byron Bay station through Bangalow to Booyong.

Mullumbimby Hospital redevelopment

Learn more about the redevelopment of the former Mullumbimby Hospital site.

A Draft Site Specific DCP is on Public Exhibition for your feedback.

We are also working with Homes NSW and the Reconstruction Authority to explore a Memorandum of Understanding.

Mullumbimby Emergency Water Main Extension

In partnership with the NSW Reconstruction Authority and NSW Public Works, Council extended the emergency water main connecting Mullumbimby to the regional water network operated by Rous County Council.
