Review of 7D Scenic Escarpment Zone
We are reviewing the 7D Scenic Escarpment Zone in Byron Shire.
This is a sensitive landscape experiencing, and likely to continue to experience, increased development pressure.
Inappropriate development has the potential to erode the scenic values of these areas and conflict with community values. it also conflicts with our policy.
Current stage
The first step is to update our mapping to make sure it is accurate.
This review will inform future land use and zoning.
We will provide updates as parts of the review are completed.
