Short-Term Rental Accommodation or holiday letting

Find out about regulations for short-term rental accommodation, also known as STRA or holiday letting.

Changes to non-hosted STRA will come into effect on 24 September 2024. For most of the Shire there will be a 60 day cap on STRA. For some areas in Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads, there will be no cap and they will be able to operate for 365 days of the year.
