South Beach Lane resurfacing added to Bruns upgrade

Good news for Brunswick Heads with the resurfacing of South Beach Lane now added to the South Beach Road upgrade.

Initial gravel works will start on South Beach Lane on Monday 7 July with road sealing works scheduled to start on Monday 21 July, weather permitting.

Changes on the way as Council adopts 2025/26 Budget

Council’s 2025/26 Budget, Operational Plan, fees and charges and four-year Delivery Plan were adopted at an Extraordinary meeting this week.

In the adopted budget Council has allocated more than $61 million on capital works across the Shire.

Mullum pool to be heated in time for next winter

Mullumbimby’s Petria Thomas pool will be heated in time for next winter.

Council has awarded a tender for the heating with an additional $250,000 allocated to the pool’s operating budget which will allow it to remain open through the winter months.
