The theme of this year's NAIDOC Week is 'Keep the fire burning! black, loud and proud.' You can celebrate NAIDOC Week at one of the events below! 

Mullumbimby event - Tuesday 9 July

Join Mullumbimby and District Neighbourhood Centre, NSW Government, Aboriginal Affairs and Bagwa Bugalma at this free community fun day from 11am to 3pm for a Welcome to Country, deadly food, arts and crafts, weaving, music, dancing and more. 

Byron Bay event - Thursday 11 July

Join the Bundjalung of Byron Bay (Arakwal people), National Parks and Wildlife Service and Byron Shire Council at a free community family day from 10am to 2pm. 

The event will kick off with a march from Railway Park to Dening Park, and festivities will continue at Dening Park from 10.45am. Here there will be a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, cultural dances, music, art and craft and more. Stay for a free BBQ lunch. 

Exhibition at Lone Goat Gallery

In celebration of NAIDOC Week there's also an exhibition on at Lone Goat Gallery, called 'Longstanding' which features 13 Bundjalung artists. The exhibition starts with an opening event on Friday 5 July from 5pm to 7pm at the gallery, and the exhibition runs until 17 August.
