Council's Councillor Expenses and Facilities Policy is on exhibition until 28 May 2025.

A Councillor Expenses and Facilities Policyenables the reasonable and appropriate reimbursement of expenses and provision of facilities to councillors to help them undertake their civic duties. 

Section 252 of the Local Government Act 1993 (LG Act) requires Council, within the first 12 months of each term of a Council, to adopt a Policy concerning the payment of expenses incurred or to be incurred by, and the provision of facilities to the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor, and the other Councillors in relation to discharging the functions of civic office.

A draft Councillor Expenses and Facilities Policy has been prepared in accordance with the Office of Local Government’s better practice Councillors Expenses and Facilities Policy template.
