Mullumbimby Masterplan

Our Mullumbimby Masterplan sets out a vision and principles to guide sustainable growth and change in Mullumbimby over the next 10 years. 

Its aim is to enhance the things that people love about Mullumbimby:

  • The sense of community
  • Inclusivity.
  • Great walkability.
  • Services and facilities for locals.
  • Natural environment.

The Plan was prepared in consultation with the Our Mullumbimby Guidance Group. It was adopted in December 2019.

Masterplan Audit Update

An audit of the Our Mullumbimby Masterplan was carried out in 2025 to 2026. This provided an update on progress and future priorities.

The audit found that many key actions have been completed or in progress, such as:

  • Street improvements
  • Active transport links
  • Public space enhancements
  • Planning controls.

Findings confirm the Masterplan remains relevant and strongly supported by the community. They highlight the need to maintain momentum and ongoing community involvement.

The audit identifies a range of priority projects from the Masterplan to guide future planning and investment. These will be considered as part of future:

  • Council Operational Plans and budgets
  • Developer contribution planning
  • Grant funding applications
