Integrated Pest Management Strategy 2019 to 2029

Our Integrated Pest Management Strategy provides Council with the practical framework to implement the Integrated Pest Management Policy. It also includes an invasive plant species list.

It aligns with Council’s statutory obligations and community needs by carefully considering all available pest control techniques. It integrates appropriate measures that discourage the development of pest populations while maintaining pesticides and other interventions to levels that are economically justified and reduce or minimise risks to human health and the environment. 

The Strategy establishes local priorities for pest species and areas to be managed and includes an action plan outlining time frames for implementation.
