The Byron Shire Rural Land Use Strategy guides future:

  • zoning and use of rural land 
  • protection and/or development of rural environment, community, economy and infrastructure.

Review of Rural land Use Strategy

At 8 December 2022 Planning Meeting, Council supported a review of the strategy, funding dependent, and the delivery of Action 21 to investigate capacity for re-subdivision within existing Large Lot Residential estates.
