Upgrades to Suffolk Beachfront Holiday Park

We are planning some upgrades to the Suffolk Beachfront Holiday Park to create a more accessible and enjoyable experience for visitors and residents.

Some of these works are required to fulfill our legislative requirements and to protect environmentally sensitive areas. 

Works will happen occur in two stages and include the following:

Stage 1 works

Starting July 2026

  • New accessible amenities and laundry, cleaners shed, beach shower and adjoining drying area
  • Improve accessible accommodation options by renewing cabins, adding all-abilities options, and adjusting some camp sites
  • Improve roads and visitor parking
  • Relocate managers shed
  • Updating essential infrastructure
  • Protection of high-value trees
  • Improve picnic areas, clothesline, dump point, waste & recycling areas.

Stage 2 works

Starting Mid 2027

  • Removing existing amenities and replace with low impact camp sites
  • Improvements to road and drainage infrastructure
  • Protection of high-value trees and restoring natural areas. 

Removing amenities block

The site currently occupied by the amenities building will be converted into environmentally sensitive camping sites.

Removing the amenities building requires an Environmental Impact Statement. This has been completed, submitted for development approval and is currently on exhibition.
