Heritage Park Mullumbimby

Heritage Park runs along the Brunswick River in Mullumbimby.

It has picnic tables, a playground and a boat launch site. 

Works on a new accessible pathway and playground upgrade at Heritage Park was finished in January 2025.

Work included

  • 2m wide path, including boardwalk areas, from Mill Street entrance to Brunswick Terrace.
  • Upgrades to the existing playground.
  • Removal of unofficial carpark area.
  • New dog off lead area.

New play equipment 

The new equipment is aimed at improving the play experience for the 6 to 12-year-olds.

A 4-meter-high climbing net offers views over the park with more challenging balancing ropes, elevated platforms and climbing features. 

There is more natural and repurposed materials such as boulders, logs, rocks, steppers and plants to facilitate nature-based and imaginative play. 

The Heritage Park accessible pathway was co-funded by the Australian and NSW Governments under the Community Assets Program, and Byron Shire Council.

There is no camping at Heritage Park. This area is patrolled regularly by enforcement officers.
