What is asphalt resurfacing?

Asphalt resurfacing involves removing failed sections of road pavement, compacting the road again and then putting down a fresh layer of asphalt. While each road may require a slightly different treatment, asphalt resurfacing is generally expected to extend the life of a road by 10- 15 years.

How has Council selected the roads for this program?

Our works team are in the process of finalising the delivery program, and further details will be made available on this page soon. There are a number of factors that have determined which roads are chosen for this program.
