Wilsons Creek Road Flood Restoration Works

Announcement

Day Works: 14 October to 28 November 2025, Monday to Friday, between 7am and 5pm. Delays of up to 15 minutes are expected during daytime hours.

Night Works Culverts: Due to resume on Sunday 26 October at 8pm and finish Friday 31 October 5am. Road closures will be in place when night works resume. Residents to expect significant delays.

Night Works Wall Extension: 2 November 8pm - 7 November 5am.

We are repairing various damages that occurred during the 2022 floods.

Works include

Landslips remediation
Road reconstructions
Culvert repairs and replacements
Removing debris.

Current On Ground Works

Works to restore the embankment located near 803 Wilsons Creek Road started in early June 2025. This is a Design and Construct contract awarded to the contractor Quickway Constructions. The remediation involves a combination of rockfill and a mass block retaining wall to support the failed embankment. TfNSW has approved to extend the wall a further 45m to allow for a safer road width. These works are carried out during the day with contraflow conditions in place. There will also be night works at this site. Planned night works are from Sunday 2 November to Friday 7 November from 8pm to 5am.

Replacement of 55 culvert crossings along Wilsons Creek Road is now underway to improve drainage. Some of the works will be delivered as nightworks by Quickway Constructions.

Contractor Durack Civil have commenced construction work on a soil nail and shotcrete retaining wall to restore the failed embankment near 968 Wilsons Creek Road.
