We are upgrading stormwater drainage at the corner of Station Street and Fern Street, Mullumbimby to alleviate flash flooding impacts.
The road at the corner of Station Street and Fern Street is now open until the end of April (weather permitting). The heavy vehicle detour route remains in place.
Remaining drainage upgrade work along Station Street, Fern Street and Orchid Place scheduled to be completed by in 2025.

The approximate work schedule is as follows:

Funding statement
This project is funded by the Australian Government through Roads to Recovery funding (approximately $350,000), NSW Department of Regional NSW (approximately $67,000), and Council’s Special Rate Reserve, Infrastructure Renewal Reserve and Stormwater Drainage Reserve (approximately $1.5 million).
