The upgrade is complete however we need to decommission the old stormwater system in early 2026.
We have upgraded stormwater drainage on Station Street, Fern Street, Orchid Place and McGoughans Lane, Mullumbimby to alleviate flash flooding impacts.
There are minor works needed on Station Street and Fern Street in 2026.
Funding statement
This project is funded by the Australian Government through Roads to Recovery funding, NSW Department of Regional NSW, and Council’s Special Rate Reserve, Infrastructure Renewal Reserve and Stormwater Drainage Reserve. Road pavement, footpath, and kerb work on Station Street is currently not funded.
