Goonengerry Public School Bus Stop Upgrade

We are doing works near Goonengerry Public School as part of a project funded by Transport for NSW and the Roads Safety Program. 

These improvements aim to make student pick-up and drop-off safer.

Project Overview

A new bus bay will be constructed on Goonengerry Road, next to the school, providing a safe and accessible bus-boarding point.

Works will include: 

  • New kerb and guttering, along with a ramp for improved accessibility.
  • Drainage improvements to better manage stormwater and protect the road.
  • Removal or relocation of old services (such as a culvert pipe and cable) if required.
  • Installation of new signage.

When are works happening?

Works are planned for the upcoming school holiday period (exact dates to be confirmed).

Construction is expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.

Impacts

During this time, there will be some traffic management in place on Goonengerry Road.

Access to the school will be maintained at all times. A temporary gravel access may be provided to the school’s southern gate if required.
