Goonengerry Public School Bus Stop Upgrade

We are doing work near Goonengerry Public School as part of a project funded by Transport for NSW and the Roads Safety Program. 

These improvements aim to make student pick-up and drop-off safer.

Project Overview

A new bus bay will be constructed on Goonengerry Road, next to the school, providing a safer and accessible way for students to get on and off the bus.

The improvements will also make student drop-off and pick-up safer.

Works include: 

  • New kerb and guttering, along with a ramp for improved accessibility.
  • Drainage improvements to better manage stormwater and protect the road.
  • Possible removal or relocation of old services (such as a culvert pipe and cable).
  • Installation of new signage.

When are works happening?

Mid-January to early February 2026.

Impacts

During this time, there will be some traffic management on Goonengerry Road.

Access to the school will be maintained at all times. A temporary gravel access may be provided to the school’s southern gate if needed.
