Byron Street pedestrian crossing - Bangalow

  • Project typePedestrian crossing and footpath
  • Project value$436,000

A new pedestrian crossing will be built on Byron Street at Bangalow, near the All Souls Anglican Church, in late 2025.

The crossing will be built on a raised hump and will have a flat top so people can walk safely and easily from one side of the road to the other side.

The footpath will be extended on the south-eastern side of Byron Street and lighting will be installed as well.

The aim of the project is to provide a safer way for people to cross the road and improved connectivity to the existing path near Byron Creek.

The $436,000 project is funded by the NSW Government's Safer Roads program.
