Overview

Bin services vary between rural, urban and commercial properties.

Rural properties.

Rural properties receive a two bin waste and recycling service.

Rural domestic

  • 240 litre landfill bin and 240 litre recycling bin (collected fortnightly) or

  • 140 litre landfill bin and 240 litre recycling bin (collected fornightly)

Rural commercial  

  • 240 litre recycling bin and 240 litre landfill bin (collected fortnightly)

Urban properties

We provide a range of bin service options to suit a variety of urban property types.

Our standard 3 bin service is most commonly applied to single and multi-unit dwellings.

High density and mixed use multi-unit developments that have limited on site bin storage can apply for a non-standard Council approved bin service.

Urban domestic - single dwelling

Standard Council three bin waste service.

  • Choice of: 80 litre, 140 litre or 240 litre landfill bin (collected fortnightly) and 240 litre recycling bin (collected fortnightly) and 240 litre organics bin (collected weekly)

Urban commercial

  • 140 litre landfill bin and 240 litre recycling bin (collected weekly)

  • 240 litre landfill bin and 240 litre recycling bin (collected weekly)

Urban multi unit dwellings (three or more units)

Council approved, shared between two units.

  • Two bin service: 240 litre landfill bin and 240 litre recycling bin (collected weekly)

  • Three bin service: 240 litre landfill bin (collected fortnightly), 240 litre recycling bin and 240 litre organics bin (collected weekly)

Council approved exempt organics service

  • Choice of: 80 litre, 140 litre or 240 litre landfill bin (collected fortnightly) and 240 litre recycling bin (collected weekly)

Additional services subject to eligibility

Additional waste services are available for purchase subject to eligibility.

  • Additional recycling service

  • Additional organics service

  • Weekly collection of 240 litre organics bin for schools, community centres and not-for-profit groups.
