Byron Shire Rail Trail The Northern Rivers Rail Trail stretches across four Local Government Areas. We are moving forward with planning and approvals for the rail trail from Mullumbimby to Crabbes Creek, and the old Byron Bay station through Bangalow to Booyong.
1 Broken Head Road redevelopment project The 1 Broken Head Road redevelopment project was paused after Council declined all tenders. Intensive remediation of the site was completed in May 2022. Council is assessing the contamination status of the two effluent ponds at the eastern end of the site.
