Brunswick Heads Traffic Study

We are conducting a comprehensive parking study of Brunswick Heads.

The purpose of this study is to improve parking opportunities for locals and visitors.

A number of parking issues have been raised with Council by the Brunswick Heads Public School, some businesses and residents and community members.

The study will look at the following challenges identified by the community:

  • School pick-up and drop off issues and the way they impact on parking generally.
  • Worker parking needs.
  • Illegal camping.
  • Current time restrictions and areas.
  • Compliance.
  • Resident parking needs.

Face-to-face intercept survey

As part of the study, the consultants ran a face-to-face intercept survey.

An intercept survey involves asking people on the street a series of questions.

This allows us to speak to a broad range of people over a number of days.

Results of the intercept survey

The survey results will be reported to Council later this year.

More details will be published on our Agendas and Minutes page closer to this time.
