Some of Council’s most important annual documents are now on public exhibition.

The draft Operational Plan, budget, and Statement of Revenue Policy, outline the program of works and projects to be completed in the 2024/25 financial year.

The community is invited to look at the documents, make suggestions and propose changes, so these can be considered by staff and Councillors.

“Our budget is always of interest to people, especially when it comes to future funding for roads and facilities,” Esmeralda Davis, Director Corporate and Community Services, said.

“Council has been working to achieve a balanced budget, mindful of the impacts of inflation, increases in the cost of living, cost-shifting, and the floods in 2022.

“All of these have had a big impact on our ability to service the needs of our community,” Ms Davis said.

People are invited to attend a public information session where they can discuss the draft documents and ask questions of staff.
