Road closures - Adaptive Pro Surfing Championships

The Australian Pro Adaptive Surfing Championships is Australia’s premier adaptive surfing event.

The event runs from Friday 20 March to Sunday 29 March. During this time there will be the following traffic impacts. 

Please note there are also other road closures happening in the town center during this time Byron Bay Drainage Upgrade

Traffic impacts

Parade of Nations Opening Ceremony - 22 March from 3pm 

• Starting from Jonsons Street/Lawson Street continuing through to Bay Street to main stage Denning Park, near Middleton Street car park.
• This is a rolling barricade with temporary road closures and may cause some traffic flow disruption along this route including some disruption at Fletcher/Bay St intersection.
• Traffic control and police escort will be in place.

Middleton Street car park closed 20 to 29 March

• Middleton Street car park will be closed to parking for the duration of the event to allow for event disability parking.
• Signage will be in place from Friday morning 20 March.
