Our libraries

Click and collect service only

All Richmond Tweed Regional Library branches will only provide ‘Click and Collect’ services from Monday, 11 October 2021. 
The ‘Click and Collect’ service allows Library members to reserve and safely collect library items. The following services will be not be available:
  • Family History and Research Centre
  • Access to PCs
  • Programs
  • Printing services
  • Physical browsing of the collection.

Byron Shire's libraries include:

  • Byron Bay
  • Mullumbimby
  • Brunswick Heads 
  • Mobile Library - services some of the Shire’s smaller communities, such as Federal, Ocean Shores, Suffolk Park, and Bangalow.

All three Library branches provide regular story time sessions for children and internet training sessions for seniors.

Mobile Library

Servicing some of the Shire’s smaller communities such as Federal, Ocean Shores, Suffolk Park, and Bangalow. 

The Mobile Library is now offering a Click and Collect service at limited stops. Mobile Library users can reserve up to 20 items for collection at:

  • Nimbin on Thursdays
  • Pottsville on Fridays
  • Bangalow on Saturdays.

Library Members will not be able to board the truck due to COVID safe protocols and can only collect reservations or Staff Pick Packs.

Richmond Tweed Regional Library network 

We are a member of the Richmond Tweed Regional Library (RTRL) service. The service offers a combined stock of over 400,000 items, free of charge to its members.

Library members have 24/7 access to the library catalogue. Members can also review and renew their loans and reserve resources online through the RTRL website or Library App.  Members without internet access can phone their local branch for assistance.
