Hey kids! Do you love your cat? Does your cat love you? Then enter our drawing competition to win great prizes!

We want you to draw a picture of you and your cat keeping safe at home.

This competition will run over April, May and June 2023 and is open to kids 12 and under.

Prizes

Two prize packs will be given away each month: 

  • $200 cat enrichment pack and
  • A ‘Cam the Cat’ Squishmallow cat toy OR a Mudpuppy – Cat-Tastic Board Game.

One awesome overall prize:

The overall winner will be notified by 10 July.

How to enter

  • Drop in your entry to our Council Offices, 70 Station Street, Mullumbimby.
  • Return your entry to your school. 
  • Upload your drawing using our online form.

By submitting an entry into the Keeping Cats at Home Drawing Competition held by Byron Shire Council ABN 14 472 131 473 (Council) in partnership with the RSPCA NSW, each entrant (You) acknowledges and agree to the following terms and conditions:

Entry

  1. The Competition is free to enter.
  2. You must be 12 years or younger to enter the Competition.
  3. You must reside in the Byron Shire Local Government Area.
  4. Employees of Council and the RSPCA NSW are ineligible to enter the Competition.
  5. By submitting an entry into the Competition, You agree to Council and the RSPCA collecting your personal information for the purposes of assessing your Competition entry.  The collection of your personal information is in accordance with the RSPCA NSW Privacy Policy and Byron Shire Council Privacy Policy and the use of your personal information is in accordance with those policies.
  6. You can submit a maximum of one entry to the Competition per month.
  7. You may submit one drawing with each entry.
  8. The Competition commences on 1 April 2023 and concludes on 30 June 2023. Late or lost entries will not be considered.
  9. By entering the Competition, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
  10. Council may cancel or vary the Competition or these terms and conditions at any time.
  11. Council will not be responsible for any loss or costs incurred by you in relation to such cancellation or variation.

Judging

  1. Valid entries in the Competition will be judged by a judging panel comprising Council staff.
  2. Entries will be judged based on creativity and originality.
  3. The decision of the judging panel is final, and no correspondence will be entered into in respect of the judging panel’s decisions.
  4. Winners will be notified by email and telephone by a representative of Council. 

Prizes

  1. Prizes will be announced in the competition announcement.
  2. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  3. We reserve the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
