Upgrading bus stops and shelters

Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport guidelines require that all bus stops comply with accessibility standards.

We are assessing bus stops in the Shire to review their accessibility and capture community feedback about things such as usage and safety.

Stage 1 completed

Stage 1 of the program has been completed. It included upgrades to 14 bus stops with shelters. See the list below.

This stage was funded through the Country Passenger Transport Infrastructure Grants Scheme.

Stage 2

In April to June 2021 we collected feedback on our bus stops.

We are currently reviewing this feedback, analysing stop priority and preparing a staged program for the next 3 financial years up to 2024. This program is not fixed and will be reviewed as new information is received.

Visit Upgrading our bus stops and shelters for more information on the engagement.
