Amendments to rural Community Title Development Controls

Provide your feedback on amendments to Chapter D2 of the Byron Development Control Plan 2014 (DCP).

The amendments to Chapter D2 Residential Accommodation and Ancillary Development in Rural Zones will allow for secondary dwellings and dual occupancies on rural community tile sites.

Amendments to Byron Local Environmental Plan

In September 2022, Council resolved to amend Byron Local Environmental Plan LEP 2014 to allow secondary dwellings and dual occupancies on rural community tile sites. This amendment is progressing and anticipated to be completed early 2023.

To reflect the LEP 2014 amendment, changes to the Byron Development Control Plan 2014, Chapter D2 Residential Accommodation and Ancillary Development in Rural Zones of DCP 2014 have been made.
