Planning for our Coastline: Have your say - drop in sessions

On Display Indefinitely

Under new legislation, Council will be developing Coastal Management Programs (CMP) for our coastline, from Cape Byron to South Golden Beach.

A CMP is a plan of action for Council and others to address coastal hazard risks, preserve habitats, maintain or improve recreational amenity and overall resilience into the future.

A Scoping Study is underway, primarily looking at coastal hazards and areas of concern on the open coast.  We need your help to inform this study - about how you use and enjoy the foreshore and beaches of the Byron Shire Coastline.

Come along to one of two drop-in sessions and/or take our survey:

  • Thursday 15 November – Byron Bay
    between 3.30pm and 6.30pm
Byron Bay Community Cabin (old Girl Guides Centre)
  • Monday 19 November – Ocean Shores
    between 3.30pm and 6.30pm
    Ocean Shores Community Centre
