DCP 2014 Amendment - Character of our urban towns and villages

On display until 24 July 2020, 12:00 AM

‘Residential Character Narratives’ capturing what makes one neighbourhood distinct from another in the way it ‘looks and feels’ have been developed through consultation with the community and other key stakeholders as part of the drafting of our Residential Strategy.

To ensure our urban towns and villages continue to reflect their own unique identity and local character, ‘character narratives’ have been included in the following locality-specific chapters of Byron DCP 2014 – Part E:

  • Bangalow
  • Brunswick Heads
  • Byron Bay and surrounds
  • Ocean Shores, New Brighton and South Golden Beach (new Chapter)
  • Mullumbimby
  • Suffolk Park

DCP 2014 Chapter D1: Residential Accommodation in Urban, Village and Special Purpose Zones has also been amended to reflect the character narratives.

The above amended DCP 2014 Chapters are available for comment until 24 July 2020.
