Draft Chapter 1 Part J - Coastal Erosion Lands of Byron Development Control Plan (DCP) 2010 will be on public exhibition for a period of 28 days from Thursday 31 May 2018 to Thursday 28 June 2018.
The amendment proposed seeks to address an anomaly in Byron LEP 1988 that creates issues when assessing development applications for subdivision on land that is located within coastal erosion Precincts 1 & 2 defined in the current Byron DCP 2010 – Chapter 1 Part J(PDF, 2MB) . The objective of the amendment is to restrict the intensity of development within locations adversely affected by coastal processes.
