A Plan of Management guides decisions on managing and using public land classified as community land.
We have updated the Draft Plan of Management for Lot 22, 156 Stuart St, Mullumbimby to ensure it covers the full extent of the Mullumbimby Community Gardens.
We would now like your feedback on the draft.
What has been updated?
- The boundary of the Community Garden has been extended to align with their current footprint.
- This section of land is being re-categorised from Sportsground to General Community Use.
- The High Environmental Value vegetation on the northern boundary is being categorised to Natural Area - Bushland.
- References to affordable housing have been removed.
- The location of the dog park has been included.

Attend the Public Hearing
We are required to hold a public hearing when the category applied to community land changes.
A public hearing is where you can submit and or speak to your submission on the Plan to an independent facilitator.
The public hearing will be held on:
- Thursday 24 October 2024
- From 4.30pm
- Council Chambers, 70 Station Street, Mullumbimby.
Registrations close 4.30pm on Tuesday 22 October 2024
You can attend the public hearing in person or online.
Registration is required for everyone attending or speaking at the public hearing.
