The Byron Youth Activity Centre (YAC) is a purpose built facility for young people aged 12 - 25 years. It is funded by Byron Shire Council, and managed by Byron Youth Service. It is strictly a drug and alcohol free space.
The YAC is free for young people to hire as a meeting space, for band and performance rehearsals, and to host youth-focused events and activities providing the proposal meets the Conditions of Hire.
Organisations with a youth focus can hire the YAC for youth events, training, meetings, workshops or forums.
As a youth space, the YAC is always interested in hearing young people’s ideas on the programs, events, and activities that they would like to see happening in the Shire. If you have any ideas or enquiries about the YAC space, please contact Byron Youth Service, they will be happy to discuss your ideas with you and provide support for your project if suitable.
