For advice or assistance with disposal of these items telephone Council on 02 6626 7156 or refer to Council's website at www.byron.nsw.gov.au
Two trucks - will be used to do the collection. One truck is for waste and the other is for metals. Please make sure that you keep metals in a separate pile so the metal can be recycled. The trucks will move at different paces, so the piles will be collected at different times.
Illegal Dumping - The kerbside is public land. Any materials placed on the kerbside after the collection starts or in breach of the collection requirements may be considered littering or waste pollution of land which are prosecutable offences under the POEO Act, 1997. Council Rangers will take enforcement action for illegal dumping where waste is unlawfully placed on public land. All material placed on the kerbside is considered the property owner or tenant's responsibility until collected by Council.
