Draft Coastal Zone Management Plan (2010) facilitated panel discussion video
A public meeting was held in the Council Chambers in Mullumbimby on Friday 6 November to discuss the proposed draft Byron Shire Coastal Zone Management Plan.
The evening saw representatives from community groups and the coastal community present their opinions on the draft plan. Coastal experts, Professor Rodger Tomlinson and Professor Bruce Thom gave an overview of coastal processes and the potential climate change impacts of rising sea levels, and state and federal coastal planning directions, initiatives and challenges. Members of the public were also able to ask questions of the panel at the end of the presentations.
