Tradies Guide to Good Access

Grab your copy of the ‘Tradies Guide to Good Access’. The small booklet, is designed to fit into a back pocket and aims to give renovators, builders and developers, simple information about minimum requirements to assist in making the built environment more accessible for everyone, at home and in commercial settings.

“Everyone should have opportunity to fully participate in community life, and the Tradies Guide to Good Access complements the Council's overall efforts to provide access for all abilities,” says Byron Shire Council Mayor Simon Richardson.

The booklet is an initiative of the Northern Rivers Regional Access Forum comprising of representatives of Access Committees from Clarence Valley, Ballina, Byron, Lismore, Richmond Valley, Kyogle, Tweed, Richmond Valley and Coffs Harbour councils. 

The ‘Tradies’ guide can be downloaded at Byron Shire Council’s here OR picked up at Council’s administration centre in Station Street, Mullumbimby.
