Measuring Sustainability on Macadamia Farms

Are you interested in measuring the sustainability of your farm? A range of indicators, developed in close consultation with local growers, now exist to better understand and measure sustainability at the farm level. Whilst these indicators have been developed for macadamia farms the theory is applicable to all types of farming. The downloadable material comes from a presentation at the Wollongbar Agricultural Institute on 19th Feb 2007'.

Northern Rivers Soil Health Card

Soil is an ecosystem in itself – and a resource that must be managed to maintain productivity. It is important to be able to measure its 'health' so we know where the deficiencies are, and what we need to do to fix it. The Soil health Card is a practical tool that all landholders in the Northern Rivers Region can use to monitor the health of their soils.
