- First aid kit (with supplies necessary for your household)

- Important papers including emergency contact numbers

- Waterproof bag for valuables
If you are required to leave your property, place in your Home Emergency Kit:
- A good supply of required medications
- Any special requirements for babies, the disabled, infirm and/or elderly

Garbage collection over Christmas and New Year
Waste and Recycling Bin Collections
Household waste and recycling collections are not affected by public holidays over the Christmas - New Year period. Bins will be emptied on Christmas Day, public holiday and New Years day if that is the normal collection day.
Some collections may take place earlier than usual. Bins should be put out the night before the collection day.
Vacation care
Vacation care operates during the school holidays to provide fun and care for children aged 5-12 years.
The programs are located at Brunswick Heads Public School, Byron Bay Primary School and Mullumbimby Public School.
Children must have commenced school (or be enrolled to attend school) in order to attend. The service operates Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) from 8am - 6pm.
Programming is based on different stages of development and we aim to provide a balanced program containing structured and unstructured activities. Excursions are compulsory, and programs are available in the weeks preceding each holiday period.
Enquiries and bookings can be made by contacting the administration coordinator (Monday and Tuesday 8.30am to 4.30pm, Wednesday 8.30am to 1.00pm).
