The current tariff for parking is $2.00 per hour
Maximum 4 Hour Time Limit
The car parks operate between the hours of 9am to 6pm, seven days a week including Public Holidays.
The designated paid parking car parks are clearly signposted. Signage displaying the words “Coupon / Ticket” indicates the requirement to display either a valid machine purchased ticket or valid Council issued resident parking coupon.
Pay and Display ticket machines are available in all car parks for the purchase of parking tickets. Machine purchased tickets must be displayed on the vehicle’s front dashboard in clear and unobstructed sight from the outside of the vehicle.
Motorists must ensure they read signposted directions when parking their vehicle. Residents who display a Council issue parking coupon must ensure that when parking their vehicle that their coupon is valid.
If the coupon has expired then residents are required to pay until such time as a valid coupon is affixed to the vehicle as required.
Please note that for safety reasons the car parks are for vehicles six (6) metres or less in length and all vehicles must park within the marked bay only. It is an offence to park across a number of parking spaces.
Vehicles larger than six (6) metres in length or towing trailers will have to park in parallel parking areas provided in and around the perimeter of town, where available.
