New Year's Eve, Byron Bay
Under the provisions of the Roads Act 1993, Council has approved the temporary road closures of the following streets on 31 December 2010 to 1 January 2011, for the purposes of New Year’s Eve celebrations in Byron Bay.
Roads temporarily closed from 6.00 am 31 December 2010 to 6.00 am 1 January 2011 are as follows:
- Jonson Street, north of Lawson Street
- Fletcher Street, north of Lawson Street
- Middleton Street, north of Lawson Street
Permitted vehicle access to the road closure area will be under the discretion and direction of traffic control and available at Fletcher Street.
Submission: any person is entitled to make a submission with respect to the granting of the temporary closures. Written submissions should be addressed to the General Manager, Byron Shire Council, via either PO Box 219, Mullumbimby 2482 or council@byron.nsw.gov.au and endorsed ‘New Year’s Eve Byron Bay’.

Submissions will be made public in accordance with Schedule 1 Part 3 Clause 1(a)(vi) within Schedule 5 Part 2 of the GIPA Act 2009 as applicable including both the substance of the objection and the identity of the objector.
