Byron Hinterland Seed Savers - May Event

Saturday 15 May

The next Seed Savers event will take place from 3pm on Saturday 15th May at an inspiring, small-scale Market Garden nestled in the escarpment near Durrumbal Hall, Main Arm. Over the last year, the property "Yarra Koora" saw the addition of an organic market garden that currently grows a variety of seasonal vegetables for distribution to the local Mullumbimby community.

Creating the garden has seen the reclaimation of a half acre of run down and over-grown livestock paddocks, nuturing the soil and ecology back to life. Please bring a chair, plate of afternoon tea to share, $4 donation and of course any plants, seeds or cuttings to share!

Mullumbimby Community Garden - Autumn Update

Mullumbimby Community Garden is blossoming into a hive of activity with people from all walks of life building, creating and gardening together.

The communal gardens and new allotments are now brimming with organic fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers but this is only part of what's going on. A new organic bush regeneration project is an exciting extension of our sustainable living programs and we are eager to rehabilitate our riparian zone so we can create a beautiful and educational bushwalk to share with the community.

To book your own allotment or get involved, contact Coordinator Jeannette Martin at: or call 0412 322 255
