Byron Shire Council post flood meeting

Flood affected residents in Byron Shire are urged to attend the upcoming community meeting run by Byron Shire Council.

The meeting will be held on Thursday 1 June at the Ocean Shores Country Club  from 2.30pm in the Pacific Room.

Mayor Simon Richardson said the meeting was being held to offer another opportunity for residents to attend and share their experiences.

Staff will be on-hand and provide a summary of the event, Council’s role and answer questions relating to the flood and planned forward actions.

Plus, feedback on flood levels and impacts will help inform future flood management plans and emergency management.

No RSVP’s are necessary.  All welcome.

Director of infrastructure services Phil Holloway said the Council community meeting would focus on gathering information that was specific to Council functions.
