Share your business story with us and help shape a more dynamic entrepreneurial culture within the Byron Shire
Share your business story with us and help shape a more dynamic entrepreneurial culture within the Byron Shire.
Byron Shire businesses are being encouraged to share their stories as part of Council’s Business Retention and Expansion Survey.
The Business Retention and Expansion Survey (BR+E) is the first stage of Council’s Enterprising Byron 2025 strategy, and seeks local input on how we can grow business and employment across the Shire.
Byron Shire Council’s, economic planner Natalie Hancock said Council was looking to find ways to encourage and nurture entrepreneurial talent in the Shire, while supporting an innovative, inclusive and prosperous local economy.
“Understanding the successes and challenges of our local businesses, through the data we gain in this survey, will form the basis of effecting real change for improved business conditions in the Shire,” she said.
“We want to hear from every business- no matter size, or location, whether you are a ‘risk taker’, or have a business that has been handed down through generations.
“We know that every business is unique, and whether you have a shop front, a farm, a workshop or you work from home via a laptop in your lounge room.
We want to get to know your story. Most importantly, we ask you to share with us your business dreams, and your vision for realising them.
“Whether it is upgrades to an existing business, putting on another pair of hands, expanding, or finally opening the small business you’ve always talked about.” Ms Hancock said.
The first 200 completed BR + E surveys will go into a draw to win a team building package with Byron Bay Business Retreats.
Businesses have the option of completing the survey online, or through booking a face to face interview.
