Festival of Ability

2 December 2010 9.00am - 3.00pm

This is a regional event for the Northern Rivers area.

Our aim: to showcase the abilities of our local people with disability and provide a celebration of their achievements. Fun, festive family day with ambassadors, people with disability life stories, choirs, music, demonstrations, food and information stands.

Free goodie bags will be handed out ( delete “on entry”) and will contain some exciting giveaways, including vouchers for fantastic prizes such as a ladies gold watch, overnight accommodation at up-market apartments, plus lots more gifts which have been kindly donated by businesses across the region.

The program will run all day with performing arts, plant nursery demonstrations, wheelchair sports activities, juggling workshops and others will have their fabulous products for sale, such as plants, sandals, soaps, bags and other items which are all made by people with disability.

Entry to the event, food and drinks are all provided free

Funding for this event is provided by Families, Housing, Community Services & Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA), Council Access Committees across the Northern Rivers and Ageing Disability & Home Care (ADHC)
