Draft Interactive Zoning Maps 2012
In addition to the statutory public exhibition maps, Council has created interactive maps for draft Byron Local Environmental Plan 2012 (draft LEP). The purpose of the interactive maps is to allow viewing of all of the draft LEP map layers within a single (Adobe 'pdf)' document.
Land identified as Deferred Matters in draft Byron LEP 2012 (those areas shaded in grey and labelled DM) will continue to be governed by the provisions of Byron LEP 1988.
Note: You will need Adobe Reader (available for free download here) to view the interactive maps. If you do not have Adobe Reader on the device (e.g. iphone, ipad, MAC) you are viewing the maps with, you will only get a non-interactive map that does not allow you to click on and off the draft LEP layers. This is particularly relevant for MAC devices (PCs, iphones, ipads) as Adobe Reader is not the default program for viewing pdf files.
To download an interactive map either click on the relevant area on the map below or click on an individual town map from the links below the map.
The draft LEP maps contains a series of layers which you can turn on and off in order to view one or more layers at a time. To display the layers, click on either the or symbol on the left hand column of the pdf. This will expand the column to display the different layers. You can then turn layers on by double clicking the desired layer and turn them off by clicking on the symbol. You can also zoom in to see property scale detail by right clicking and selecting Marquee zoom. Selecting the Hand tool allows you to navigate around the map. .
