Development Contributions Plans (Section 94 and 64)
At the 6 December 2012 Ordinary meeting, Council resolved to adopt the Byron Developer Contributions Plan 2012 in accordance with Clause 31 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000. The Byron Developer Contributions Plan 2012 came into affect on 1 January 2013. Development Applications lodged after this date will be assessed under the provisions of this plan.
The Byron Developer Contribution Plan was amended at Council's Ordinary meeting on 26 June 2014. The amendments came into affect on 15 July 2014.
Development Servicing Plans for Water Supply and Sewerage
Section 64 of the Local Government Act, 1993 enables a local government authority to levy developer charges for water supply and sewerage. The attached documents provide the DSPs for water supply and sewerage developer charges for the development areas served by Byron Shire Council. The current DSP was adopted on 07 September 2016, click on the following links to download the DSP:
The developer charges are adjusted on 1 July each year on the basis of movements in the CPI for Sydney.
- Byron Shire Council rates adjusted on 1 July 2016.
- Rous County Council rates adjusted on 1 July 2016.
- The next adjustment is due on 1 July 2017.
