Councillor Sol Ibrahim
PO Box 219 MULLUMBIMBY NSW 2482
I completed my studies in early childhood & primary teaching in Sydney’s eastern suburbs where I grew up. I initially lived in Byron Bay in 1982/83, and then left to travel abroad for several years. I returned to Sydney to work as a Childcare Director and completed a degree in Social Science majoring in Industrial Relations and Statistics.
I purchased 50 ha near Washpool National Park by the Timbarra River (Rocky River) and moved there with my family to build a house. I worked casually at Tenterfield High as well. In 1998 I commenced my current position and built a house in Bangalow. I am the CEO of Northern Rivers Childcare Services Inc, which is a non-profit Association providing a range of childcare and community services to around 2,000 throughout the northern rivers. I work from offices in Lismore and Tweed. I also worked part time as a tutor at Southern Cross University in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management.
