Patrick has a passion for the local community and the natural environment and has been active for decades as an advocate on many issues, with a proven track record of getting results.  These issues include better roads, protecting farming land and rural communities, biodiversity, land use planning and public art.

Patrick has completed a degree in Agriculture and a Doctorate of Philosophy from Southern Cross University.  He has worked in State Government in natural resource management, facilitation and adult education. 

Cr Morrisey has established a small business as well as acting as social researcher and whole farm planning consultant.  He lives at Goonengerry, manages his property as a Wildlife Refuge, is married with two young children and loves to surf when he gets a chance.

Cr Morrisey is one of the Councillor representatives on the Biodiversity and Sustainability Advisory Committee

and is also an alternate delegate for Community Strategic Plan PRG
