Councillor Alan Hunter

Contact Nos: 02 6684 7259 and 0428 657 549

Alan Hunter has been married to Pauline for 39 years and has 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren.

Alan and Pauline chose to move to Byron Shire in 2004.  They now run cattle on acreage at Myocum and are regenerating their native forest.  Alan has held numerous volunteer positions.  He was a long term chairman of the national Grain Legume peak industry body "Pulse Australia Ltd".

As a grandparent and family living locally, Alan cares deeply about our future.  That means planning for the future, not only making sure we look after the environment for future generations but making sure the Council doesn't live beyond its means today and saddle future residents with huge expenses and poor services in the process.
